How to Communicate What Your Intuition is Telling You

by Karen Keller, Ph.D.

Let the world know what your intuition is telling you.

How can you communicate to others what you gut is telling you?

I write frequently on this blog about following your intuition and why it’s ever so important to follow it, both in your personal and professional life. Of course, when you’re accountable to no one, it’s very easy to simply follow what your gut is telling you, but it’s a whole other situation when you have to explain your intuition to your employees or your bosses. So how can you explain to other what you “just know” is the right decision to make?

Write it out.

When you have a feeling something is right or wrong, based on your intuition, it probably doesn’t feel very concrete. You can change that by writing out what you feel and why you feel that way. It might take a little time, but in order to properly communicate your intuitive thoughts and feelings, you need to get them down on paper.

Back it up.

If the decision is a big one and you need to convince leadership that they need to take a certain action, you MUST have some sort of data or reasoning to back up your intuition. I’m sure that many of the women in high leadership positions have gotten there in part due to their intuition, but many likely know how to convince others that their gut is right using facts and figures.

Put it out there.

Of course, if you don’t tell anyone about your gut feelings, then they won’t take you anywhere.Rutherford continued his law wanted to go back November 2009 they. Because women are looking for a deeper understanding of how they can become influential, I developed a 3-part mini-series where I will share the true meaning of influence, where it starts, what women do naturally, and how they can own their influence. This 3-part mini-series, Designed For Influence”, is where women will find the 3 most powerful tools to bring forth their influence – in any situation.
