Five Things a CPA Can Do for Executive Women

Need a CPA?

It’s coming up on tax time once again, and executive women
can’t afford to mess around. April’s deadline is looming, and it’s possible you
just haven’t gotten around to getting everything together that you need to get
those taxes done.

A great CPA can not only help get you squared away in short
order, but they can help you plan for the future. My CPA gives me forms and
spreadsheets to fill out throughout the year so that when tax time rolls
around, everything is just how she needs it. Together, you can keep yourself
sane and the IRS pacified. Here are five ways a great tax professional can help
executive women keep their cool at the most financially stressful time of the
year:

1. Forms and formats. Everything from mileage logs to ways to track your sales tax are ready and waiting. A great CPA can help you keep track of things throughout the year so that your quarterly returns and annual filings are a minimal hassle.

2.  Business structure. Maybe you’re an LLC and would be better off as an S-corp. Maybe it’s the other way around. A great CPA will help executive women look at how they run their business and find the best business model to lessen their tax
burden.
3. Deductions. Executive women lead busy lives. Why not enlist the help of an expert to take a look at your life from the outside and help find deductions?
4. Staying on track. If you own your business, you’re probably supposed to be filing quarterly tax returns with the IRS. A great CPA will help you stay on track
with what you’re supposed to set aside and send the IRS. They can also help you
strategize if you get a bit behind in payments.
5. Dealing with what you don’t want to. Do you really want to spend a weekend (or longer) dealing with your taxes? Hire that CPA and keep your weekends. A great one will make your finances become second nature and help you have the least amount of stress possible when it comes to your obligations. In my book? That’s always worth the price of admission!
