It’s a time of year for reflection. As a personal business coach, I’m lucky that my job IS business – helping people day in and day out make better decisions in their professional lives. And there is an unexpected upside to that – not only do they inevitably make better decision in their personal lives, but many of my clients find a harmonious balance between their personal and professional lives. This creates a beautiful life from any angle – and I get to be present for and a part of that transformation! Talk about a gift.
And there’s another plus to being a personal business coach: I’m reminded of how my work for others applies to my business and my life on a regular basis. There’s not a lot of time for the “do as I say and not as I do” routine in my house, I’m telling you! So today, I’m telling you about the best business investment you can make for the new year:
become your very own personal business coach.
Don’t get me wrong – I’d LOVE for you to be a client! But couldn’t we all do with a little more ownership in the business development process? Remind yourself that there’s someone accountable for the decisions you make n life and businesses…and that person is YOU. While I can be over here helping point you in a direction and helping you work through challenges, only YOU can hold yourself accountable and own the decisions you make.
Wouldn’t it be great if at this same time next year, you could tell yourself that you OWNED the decisions you made in 2011? They won’t all be good or right, but owning them is the first part of being your very own personal business coach. We spend so much time blaming things and other people for who we are and what we do. Imagine what life could be like if we acted as our very own personal business coach and held ourselves accountable.
Accountable.
There’s no better time than now to own YOU. I say it’s the best New Year’s Resolution ever!
A joy-filled New Year to you and yours, and I’ll look forward to seeing you back in 2011 for another stellar, awe-inspiring year created by YOU.
