The past few weeks have been busy. I listen to the news and wonder how will this country and the businesses that support it survive? Yes, you and me. It seems that our elected officials have other plans than to open roads for the small and even large entrepreneur to thrive. I hear from clients how they hope to realize their dreams only to run into barrier after barrier – all created by our wonderful government. At times they sound discouraged or angry. Other times they are eager to surpass the challenges that are before them. Nonetheless, it is becoming harder and harder to actualize what you have dreamed of all your life.
Here’s my thought on all of this: you can NEVER give up – no matter what the odds are or what the so-called experts tell you. The stakes are too high. The true entrepreneur is tougher than anyone thinks – including the US government. If anyone thinks the entrepreneur will sit idly by and wait for permission to take back the freedom to express, invent, make the world a better place and make money while doing so is living in la-la land! There are ways to resurrect the curiosity, desire, motivation and actual success of being an entrepreneur. One thought is to continue believing in your heart everything your parents taught you about independence and skillful invention. They were the ones who encouraged and instilled in us that ‘anything is possible.’ Here’s my advice to everyone getting in our way: understand that no matter what legislation that is passed or should I say placed in our way, never will you erase the true entrepreneurial spirit and passion that has allowed people to find cures, move progress, go to the moon and make the world a better and more prosperous place to live – freely.
